My name is Nicole. I am a wife, a mom, and caretaker. I have a border collie mixed with lab, name Lucky. I’m also a certified health coach/detox and weight management specialist.
How it began
In 2000 I began to feel ill which led me to visit several doctors and finally to the emergency department, because I thought I was having a heart attack. After many test I was sent home in tears clenching my chest being told they couldn’t find anything.
Two days later I received a call from a radiologist with a big apology, they found something. I wasn’t happy that they found something but relieved that I wasn’t crazy. After more referrals and test I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I was given steroids and other medication that couldn’t cure me, but could cover up the symptoms I was having. I developed a very oily skin rash, began to gain weight, and was very fatigue. After about 6 months I couldn’t take it any more, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started researching. I started to go for walks, which helped. It gave me a sense of peace and more energy. By 2001 I became pregnant, more health conscious, and felt better. I was in remission.

From 2005 until 2014 I worked at a hospital that was located in Loma Linda, CA (featured on Oprah) as the only Blue Zone in the United States. A blue zone is a place where people lived to be over 100 years old. While working there, I began research and study plant based nutrition.
In 2010, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. In 2012 I was in a car accident where someone rammed into the back of my car while at a stop light. The accident aggravated my back and eventually shut me down. The inflammation hit my body so hard I could barely walk. I eventually had surgery and was on a walker. I was overweight, without energy, and just not in a good place. I knew there was a better way. I decided to implement the information that I learned over the past 10 years at work and I began feeling better ~ better than I had in my twenties. I decided to have a “L.Y.F.E.” where you Love Yourself First Everyday. Essentially you choose yourself first so you can be the best you for not only yourself but those you love.
Like on an airplane when they tell you in case of an emergency to put the oxygen mask on yourself first before you try to save your spouse, even your children. That’s what we will be doing. You see until I put me first I was exhausting myself because I was not replenishing my body or my mind. Like any vehicle, you can only run so long before you have to refuel it.
Because of the changes that I made, people would ask me, “Nicole what’s the secret, can you help me?” and I would. I started to share the information I learned, different techniques to create lasting results.
This led me to become a certified health coach. I received my training, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
