What it was: I made a decision and I had to remove what wasn’t helping me from the inside out. One thing I did know is that I wanted to feel better.

Wild Rose College of Natural Healing defines detoxing as “clearing out toxins and debris in your body that may be stopping you from having vitality.”

That’s what we’re up to here. A detox focuses on releasing the toxins your body takes in day-to-day. That’s not just food either – we’re talking metals, chemicals found in cleaning products, drinks, etc.

BUT, instead of relying on fasting, pills, teas and powders, we’re focusing on improving your digestion, your energy level and more. You’ll only eat whole, seasonal foods that are designed to support your body’s natural processes of detoxification and cleansing.

My name is Nicole, and I’m a certified health coach. I’ll be guiding you through this restorative, transformation.
I may have looked good on the outside, but I felt tired, worn out, moody, and irritable. I had back pain, high blood pressure, migraines, and allergies.

Before I made a total transformation, I used to think I was doing all the right things just not getting the right results. I wasn’t losing weight and I wasn’t feeling better. The doctors prescribed medications that only masked the pain and some days, most days, I felt sluggish and overwhelmed. I knew there had to be a better way. The day I made a decision to change, is when everything changed.

I began to research natural cures, plant based nutrition and detoxing, that’s when I began feeling better than I had in my twenties. I then decided to become a certified health coach. After studying over 100 dietary theories, and learning about healing the body naturally and nutrient dense foods – forms of nutrition that you don’t usually see on your plate, it all starting making so much sense to me.

Sure enough, as I followed my desire to find natural solutions the migraines went away, no more high blood pressure, my moods were better. I had found my zen, not to mention I lost 40 pounds that led to 60 pounds. I knew there was a better way. I followed my desire to find natural solutions and began to study plant based eating, meditation, and yoga. I lost over 60 pounds and began to feel better than I had in my twenties.

I call it “choose you first”. You see until I put myself first I was exhausting myself because I was not replenishing the well. Like any vehicle, you can only run so long before you have to refuel it.  I may have looked good on the outside, but I felt tired, worn out, moody, and irritable.
